Our Mission

The purpose of Live to Connect Ministries (formerly LMH Ministries) is to encourage families to connect with God and with each other. In many families today, there is a disconnect between parents and their children, especially in adoptive and foster homes. It is our mission to provide hope, encouragement, and resources to parents as they seek to strengthen the bonds with their children and as they work through the challenges that a lack of bonding can bring. And even more importantly, we seek to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with families so that they can learn to connect with God through faith in His Son, Jesus. There is hope for every family. There is healing for every hurt. And there is a God who longs to be part of every journey. It is our desire to see families progress through this journey of healing with God's love and peace.

 

Our Beliefs

We believe first and foremost that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of the living God. We all are sinners and will never qualify for Heaven by our own merit (Romans 3:23). But God sent His only Son, Jesus, to Earth to solve this problem for us (John 3:16). Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. Yet He took on the punishment for all of our sin and allowed Himself to be killed on a cross (Isaiah 53:5-6). Three days later, God raised Jesus from the dead, proving that He had complete power over sin and death, and Jesus is still alive today (Romans 6:9)! There is a price to be paid for sin (Romans 6:23), but Jesus paid that price for us with His own life. Because of His sacrifice, we who believe in Him and proclaim Jesus as our Lord and Savior will be forgiven of all of our sins and will be given a place in Heaven when we die so that we can spend all of eternity with God (Romans 10:9,10, and 13).

God loves you more than you could ever imagine and wants to have a relationship with you through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 1:12). If you have not yet accepted Jesus' free gift of forgiveness and salvation, won't you consider doing so today?

She is also a wife of 29 years and a mother to four children, two biological and two by adoption. Lisa Hartley has a gift for writing and singing songs that touch your heart and draw you closer to God's throne. Her solo CD, "Surrender," is available now for purchase or download. Plans are underway for a second solo CD to be released by the end of 2024.

Lisa has also written and produced two Children's Choir musicals that help children learn how to grow in a relationship with God. The listening CD for "What Do I Do Now?" is currently available for download and its related materials will be available by August 1, 2023. The complete musical "Camp Discovery" will be available by January 1, 2024.
